The GPS is showing an arrival time! Which means that we’ll arrive in the next 24 hours!! Only 100 miles to go so we’re desperately scanning the horizon for the first sighting of land. We've heard that the volcanoes are about 14000 feet above sea level (and more below, making them the tallest mountains on the planet!) so surely we should see them soon, although we’ve heard that the haze can make then hard to see until we’re closer. We’re already talking about what we want to eat – I want a massive fresh salad and Stu wants a big juicy steak.

We’re expecting reasonable traffic until we arrive, as Hawaii imports most of its resources (I think I read somewhere that it’s about 85%) so we’re sure we’ll see a few more ships. Haven’t seen any for a while.
